about

"Fawn" is the 5th studio release by queer outsider chamber music group Disemballerina.
It is a concept EP built around theme of human acute stress response, with specific emphasis on the range of different physiological reactions that often occur in conjunction with a harmful or potentially harmful life event. Each piece of music on the recording corresponds to a particular distinctive stress response. The three song titles, "Pancada", "Somnambulist" and "Garnets" individually represent the diverse and extreme survival modes of Fight, Flight and Freeze.

"In all honesty, it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard." -Pitchfork
